This policy explains what Geiger Law, PLLC collects through this website, why, and what your choices are. We have tried to write it in English rather than in legalese.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we receive your name, telephone number, email address, the practice area you selected, and whatever you write in the message field. That is all we ask for and all we store.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server log data — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the time of the request — for security and diagnostics. This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other websites.
How we use it
Solely to respond to your inquiry, to carry out a conflict-of-interest check, and where you become a client, to provide legal services. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it to send marketing you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are transmitted by a third-party form-delivery service and arrive as email in the firm’s mailbox. Our website host processes server logs. Neither uses your information for their own purposes. We disclose information otherwise only where the law requires it.
Confidentiality — an important limit
Information you send through this website before we have a signed engagement agreement is not protected by the attorney–client privilege. Please keep your first message brief and general. Once we are engaged, everything you tell us is confidential.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. For genuinely sensitive material, call us.
Retention
Inquiries that do not become matters are kept only as long as needed for conflict-checking, then deleted. Client files are retained for the period required by The Florida Bar and applicable law.
Your choices
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing help@386lawfirm.com. Where we are required to retain a record — for conflict-checking or by Bar rules — we will tell you.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
